Carlos was recording in Brittany, where he went by boat, when the dreadful oil spill from the Prestige happened in Galicia.

The Bretons had recently lived a similar event, and they immediately showed their solidarity and prompted Carlos to organize a concert to raise funds for the Galician sailors who not only lost their way of life, but had to clean the damages left from the oil with their own hands.

This old Breton song became a soundtrack to the natural disaster.

A year later a show from La Fura dels Baus with Carlos performing from their boat Naumon and hundreds of actors hanging from cranes in Vigo’s port, once again paid tribute to the Prestige fishermen and volunteers with this music.
