In Ireland and Scotland there were gypsies too. Not quite like Spanish or Eastern European gypsies, but they shared that free spirit that went into their music, such as in the travelling pipers. Carlos duels here with their heir, piper Paddy Keenan, who he met in Boston during tours with The Chieftains.

The Waterboys had recorded a version of this traditional tune that Christy Moore had previously recorded with Planxty.

After recording again with Carlos for his “flamenco album”, Mike Scott joined him for a concert in Glasgow and Núñez joined Scott for one in Galicia.
